Expand your assay specifications by including PBM-Hale deep-lung breath condensate as a supported specimen type.

About

PBM-Hale™ allows for non-invasive, saliva-free collection of deep-lung exhaled breath condensate (EBC) for respiratory diagnostics and clinical research.

PBM-Hale enables frequent, repeatable, non-invasive deep-lung sampling that can reduce reliance on bronchoalveolar lavage.

The sample is a liquid generated in abundant volumes through normal breathing (or your choice of breath manoeuvre) and is compatible with PCR workflows, rapid molecular assays, lateral-flow tests, metagenomics, proteomics, lipidomics and other diagnostics platforms.

The PBM-Hale breath condensate sample is agnostic, can be integrated with several assay platforms, and it enables:

  • Detection and quantification of pathogens and host biomarkers from the lower airways

  • Faster and less invasive diagnostic pathways

  • Longitudinal monitoring and endotyping with high patient acceptability

For assay manufacturers:

Use PBM-Hale EBC as a clean, oral-contaminant-free, non-invasive matrix to test and optimize assays for lower respiratory infections (e.g., pneumonia, TB) and chronic respiratory disease applications (e.g., asthma/COPD severity markers).

We invite you to include PBM-Hale samples in your validation panels to expand real-world use and acceptability. PBM-Hale EBC samples can now be provided for both healthy and multiple disease cohorts.
