**BenarioXR is a German deep-tech startup building the missing industrial link between advanced photonics and mass-manufacturable AI/XR eyewear.**Our platform combines microstructured curved optics, ultra-compact MEMS projection, optical coupling and system integration in an OEM architecture designed for industrial scale. The core problem in AR/XR is no longer software or computing power — it is manufacturability. Current solutions remain too bulky, complex, expensive or difficult to integrate into prescription eyewear. BenarioXR addresses this bottleneck by developing a pathway from advanced photonics to lightweight, prescription-compatible and potentially rimless smart eyewear using existing optical manufacturing infrastructure. We do not aim to become another consumer smart-glasses brand. Our model is B2B/OEM, based on co-development, technology licensing, selected optical components, industrial integration and recurring royalties. The technology is currently at TRL 4–6. BenarioXR builds on more than 20 years of R&D in optics, photonics and micro-optics, supported by laboratory validation, IP, specialised lithography capabilities and private/non-dilutive funding. We are now building an international ecosystem of research, industrial and investment partners for the next phase: integrated prototyping, industrial validation and scale-up. At ISM 2026, we are looking to meet investors, deep-tech funding organisations, photonics and MEMS companies, advanced-manufacturing partners, research institutions, OEMs and Horizon Europe / Eurostars consortium partners. We are not building another smart-glasses product. We are building the missing link that makes advanced photonics manufacturable at scale.
