About me

Dr. Chirodeep Bakli is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Energy Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. He earned his B.Tech. Energy Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, followed by a Ph.D. specializing in micro- and nanoscale fluid mechanics and energy systems. His research integrates computational modeling and experimental techniques to address critical challenges in fuel cells, water harvesting, diagnostics, and climate-resilient technologies.

Dr. Bakli’s interdisciplinary approach spans engineering, materials science, and applied physics. He has over 50 journal publications. He is committed to translating research into real-world sustainable solutions, especially for low-resource environments. Alongside his research, Dr. Bakli actively mentors students and leads collaborative initiatives to drive innovation at the intersection of fluid mechanics, energy systems, and environmental sustainability.
