The Business and Employment Support Center (Centrum pro podporu podnikání a zaměstnanosti) was founded in 2018. Its activites aim to increase the entrepreneurship of the inhabitants of the Moravian-Silesian region, mainly the Karviná district, which is known for its mining past, poor environment and high unemployment rate. The main activities include education, consultancy in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship and social innovation and a coworking centre. Within the framework of business consultancy, it tries to help entrepreneurs to realise their business plan on the principles of sustainable growth, which means that social enterprises, enterprises using the principle of circular economy or sharing services are created under its wings, etc. All activities are then covered by coworking, which aims to create a community of like-minded entrepreneurial people who share their experiences and ideas, thus creating a synergistic effect.
