CIRPAS UNIBA
About
The Interuniversity Research Centre "Population, Environment and Health" (CIRPAS), based at the University of Bari Aldo Moro, was established in 2007. It originated from an agreement involving the Universities of Bari, Foggia, and Calabria, expanding the activities of a center already operational since 2001.
CIRPAS focuses on social, health, and environmental research, with a specific emphasis on the equitable inclusion of vulnerable populations in active life and the workforce. It collaborates with UniBA's Generational Observatory on youth lifestyle studies, aiming to translate findings into health education policies and train new professionals.
Its activities include organizing national and international conferences, publishing volumes in the "Itinerari di Ricerca" series, and launching postgraduate courses. Since 2016, CIRPAS has been accredited by the Puglia Region for vocational training, and since 2020, for employment services.
Today, beyond research, CIRPAS designs and implements vocational and continuous training and employment services. The goal is to bridge education/training with the business world and the territory, facilitating more inclusive and equitable job placement.
