Dr. Kakha NADIRADZE

Dr. Kakha Nadiradze is a Georgian academic and researcher whose work focuses mainly on agriculture, biodiversity, and food safety. He is based in Tbilisi and has built a career around studying how to protect biological resources and improve agricultural systems in the South Caucasus region. He holds a PhD and has been active as a professor as well as a policy-oriented expert. His research interests include agrobiodiversity conservation, food safety standards, and the scientific analysis of genetically modified organisms, AgroBiotechnology, expert of Circular Economy and Precission Agriculture. A significant part of his work also involves biobanking, which is the preservation of genetic material from plants and animals to support long-term biodiversity protection. Beyond academic work, he has been involved in advocacy and organizational leadership. He is associated with the Association for Farmers’ Rights Defense, where he has worked on issues affecting farmers, environmental protection, and sustainable agriculture. His role often connects scientific research with practical policy and community-level impact. Internationally, he has collaborated with networks and initiatives related to biodiversity and food systems, including programs linked to organizations like the Food and Agriculture Organization. Through these efforts, he has contributed to discussions on environmental protection and agricultural development not only in Georgia but across the wider region.
