Everything began in 2007, when Profelis started managing Linux, email, and directory infrastructure for organizations. In 2017, the experience gained in the field led to a key question: why should identity authentication and authorization depend on a single vendor? The answer was the development of SambaBox, an open-source solution.

2024 marked a turning point. Released with Exchange compatibility and support for current functional levels, SambaBox 5.0 became one of the world's strongest alternatives to traditional Active Directory systems. In the same year, Felisify was established to enable the product to grow independently, guided by its own roadmap.

Today, with continued support from Profelis, SambaBox offers flexible and reliable solutions for both the public and private sectors, guided by the principles of transparency, respect, and collaboration.
