The Laboratory of Human Research and Sport Psychology is a cornerstone facility within the Department of Physical Education and Sport Science at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Located in Thermi, the lab serves as a hub for psychological research related to sport, exercise, and movement behavior. The lab engages in cutting-edge experimental and applied studies addressing psychological dimensions such as motivation, enjoyment, anxiety, moral reasoning, inclusion, doping attitudes, social-moral development, and the overarching motivational climate in physical education and sport. It forms part of the university’s network of laboratories (which also includes Biomechanics, Sport Medicine, etc.) aimed at integrating disciplinary research and supporting both theoretical and methodological development in physical education and sport science provision. The lab attracts graduate and doctoral students, hosts collaborative projects (> 40 European projects), and contributes to national and international research on psychological processes in sports and educational settings. Through empirical investigations,interventions, and publications, it enhances understanding on the promotion of physical and mental health.
