About me
Trained oncology nurse working with treatment and research for 26 years; today I am project manager on EU JA_preventNCD project
Our oncology department is centered around a holistic patient approach focusing on the patient journey from symptoms, diagnosis and treatment and onto the rehabilitation phase. We have a multidisciplinary approach to treatment plans for patients; we focus on shared decision-making and it is the overall effort of the coordinated work that enables us to deliver our high quality care. Our hospital is the only OECI certified hospital in the country, and has been awarded for our work within the cancer treatment area due to several facts i.e. initiating the development and implementation of cancer packages and its work with developing and implementing AI in patients’ cancer journey. The hospital has distinguished themselves by developing a shared decision making center which has been disseminated throughout the country. In the Region, we are also involved in other European projects and Joined Actions such as e-can, which looks at telemedicine for cancer treatment and as partners in the Horizon “4D PICTURE”. We are currently holding several leading roles in JA_preventNCD project and is continuously interested in joining new EU projects on cancer prevention.
