SONORA Organisation for Music Therapy and Research

Sonora is a non-profit organisation offering music therapy programs, training, and research. We work extensively in the mental health field (depression, psychological trauma, eating disorders, etc), in perinatal care, psycho-oncology and chronic diseases, elderly and dementia, Medical music therapy (music medicine, music and pain management, etc), palliative care. More recently, we design programs for corporate wellbeing for employees and employers, and psychosocial programs for vulnerable populations (women's empowerment, adolescents, refugees, etc).  From 2025, music therapy will start being prescribed by the doctors, within the "arts and health social prescription" program and will be widely provided as a psychological support intervention. We are interested in developing new collaborations in all aforementioned fields, especially with regards to special trainings, special music therapy applications, and new tools (e.g. music therapy and neurofeedback, music therapy and technology, etc).
