In collaboration with robotics specialists Branch Robotics, Backlit Films is creating a solution that utilises cost-effective, collaborative robots which are up to 40% cheaper than similar market solutions and which also dramatically reduce software subscription costs. With a clear integration with Unreal Engine, the real-time computer graphics generator that powers virtual backgrounds for The Mandalorian and Batman, the company’s technology will allow filmmakers to create new worlds without the need for Hollywood budgets.
