The Commercial Department of the Austrian Consulate is the official representative of Austrian trade and economy in Brazil. Our main goal is to support Austrian companies in their business endeavours in Brazil and to promote trade and economic links between Brazil and Austria. In addition to the services and support we offer to Austrian companies that want to or already have business links with Brazil, we are also open to Brazilian companies looking for co-operation with Austrian companies. They can explore Business Opportunities, which are categorised by area for better consultation. The companies listed have shown special interest in our office in working in the Brazilian market. The International Recruiting Initiative (IFO) is a programme aimed at implementing the strategic framework on skilled labour recruiting of the WKÖ. The programme takes targeted measures in defined focus countries to improve the influx of qualified skilled workers from the shortage occupation list. Recruitment from third countries is intended to make qualified personnel available to member companies and SMEs in particular. In addition to a focus on the Western Balkans, countries in the Americas and Asia were also selected, which are characterised by a good match with Austria in the education and labour market.
