Exhaust Gas Recirculation (E.G.R.) system - NOx Reduction Solution for Diesel Engines
About
E.G.R. with it´s small and compact design is installed on top of the engine. A regulated amount of exhaust gas (in dependency of engine´s load) is extracted and it passes a cooling and cleaning chamber and is recirculated to the scavenging air intake. NOx reduction is achieved by avoiding the "high temperature NOx generating peak".
Benefits in brief:
-
NOx reduction up to IMO Tier III
-
No chemicals, only technical water is used
-
No back-pressure and resulting fuel consumption increase compared to SCR systems
-
Small and compact design
-
