Design partners for operational knowledge and technology transfer in pharma

Opmetis is developing an operational-knowledge platform for regulated life-science environments.

Our initial focus is technology transfer, where critical process knowledge must move effectively between development, CMC, MSAT, manufacturing teams, sites and external partners. In practice, part of this knowledge often remains distributed across documents, systems and experienced people, creating gaps that only become visible during transfer, onboarding or execution.

We are looking for pharmaceutical manufacturers and CDMOs interested in becoming design partners and helping us validate this problem on real workflows.

We are particularly interested in understanding:

• What knowledge is difficult to capture through formal documentation alone.
• Where receiving teams still depend heavily on sending-side experts.
• Which gaps tend to emerge during scale-up, validation or early manufacturing runs.
• How operational learnings from troubleshooting and deviations are preserved and reused.
• How knowledge-transfer readiness could be assessed before execution begins.

Potential collaborations may include discovery workshops, retrospective analysis of completed technology transfers, proof-of-concept projects and pilot deployments.

We are especially interested in connecting with teams working in Technology Transfer, MSAT, CMC, Process Development, Manufacturing, Quality and Operational Excellence.

Opmetis is being developed within ABIOINNOVA, the life-sciences accelerator in Salamanca, Spain.
