THOR-X: Compact High-Precision Bioprinting for Next-Generation Tissue Engineering
Head of Research at Omnia Mater SL
Madrid, Spain
About
THOR-X is a TRL6 compact 3D bioprinter designed to bring advanced tissue engineering beyond specialized laboratories. Unlike conventional systems that are bulky, expensive, and infrastructure-heavy, THOR-X combines high-precision biofabrication, modularity, and plug-and-play operation in a scalable, low-infrastructure platform.
The technology enables fabrication of vascularized, patient-specific tissues while reducing deployment complexity and operational costs, opening adoption across pharma, research, clinical, and advanced bio-manufacturing markets.
THOR-X is a dual-use technology with applications spanning drug discovery, regenerative medicine, field hospitals, and emerging space and microgravity research platforms. Development is partially supported by a granted Spanish NEOTEC innovation program, while pilot deployments with universities, hospitals, and research centers are validating usability and accelerating market readiness.
We are seeking €2.5M to complete industrialization, certification, and commercial launch.
