Accuro to Lead the Development of a Socio-Health Data Space under the NextGenerationEU

Business Development Software at ACCURO TECHNOLOGY

Madrid, Spain

About

Iván Becerro CEO of Accuro Technology are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a major project under the 2nd Call of the Sectoral Data Spaces Program, promoted by the Spanish Ministry for Digital Transformation and funded by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU Recovery Plan.

The project, titled GLOBAL-DATACARE, aims to design, deploy, and validate a shared data space for continuous care, emergency response, and medical research — integrating healthcare, social services, and research entities into a secure, interoperable, patient-centered ecosystem.

¿What is GLOBAL-DATACARE?

Built on standards like HL7 FHIR, DID, IPS, and technologies such as blockchain (Hyperledger Fabric) and Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI), the data space will provide:

  1. Universal and secure access to patients’ socio-health data.

  2. Interoperability between public and private, healthcare and social systems.

  3. Anonymized digital twins for research and clinical simulation.

  4. Infrastructure compliant with IDSA, GAIA-X, and Data Spaces Business Alliance principles.

  5. Strict adherence to GDPR and Spanish data accessibility regulations.

What ACCURO can you contribute

At Accuro, we contribute our expertise in technology integration, interoperability, blockchain, and AI. Specifically, we will be responsible for:

  • Designing and deploying the technical infrastructure of the data space.

  • Developing APIs and interoperable connectors between ecosystem members.

  • Ensuring privacy and traceability through blockchain solutions.

  • Implementing digital informed consent mechanisms and decentralized control of access to sensitive data.

A Transformative Project

GLOBAL-DATACARE will empower patients and improve the efficiency and quality of services, particularly in environments where continuous care and socio-health coordination are critical — such as nursing homes, mental health centers, home care services, or emergency medical situations.

Additionally, it will strengthen medical research capabilities in Spain by providing secure, anonymized access to real-world data, fostering personalized, equitable, and predictive healthcare.

We will continue to share updates on the project’s progress on our blog and social media channels.
