Ambo University

Ambo university was officially recognized as a coeducational Ethiopian higher education institution by the Ministry of Education in 2006. It is situated 114 km west of the capital, Addis Ababa. The university's origins date back to 1947, making it one of the oldest higher learning institutions in the country, with its initial education programs housed in a building constructed by French engineers. Today, it stands as one of the country's leading applied science institutions, committed to applied research, teaching, and community service across various multidisciplinary fields, led by distinguished professors.
