The Institute of Public Policy Initiatives (IPPI) is a prominent think tank based in Ghana that aims to drive sustainable development through evidence-based policy research, advocacy, and capacity building. A. Personal Statement

Dr. Ahmed Taqi-ud-deen Saeed is a Senior Research Fellow, Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist, and Executive Director at the Institute for Public Policy Initiatives, Ghana. With over 15 years of experience in Development Management, his expertise spans project management, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), data visualization, and resource mobilization. He has worked across the private, public, and NGO sectors, providing leadership and technical guidance on M&E systems, baseline and impact evaluations, and reporting on development results.

Dr. Saeed has extensive experience in designing and overseeing M&E systems for various development projects, particularly in rural poverty, youth employment, climate resilience, and agricultural initiatives. Notable projects he has contributed to include the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization’s diagnostic study on rural poverty, the Canadian Cooperative Association’s FOSTERING Project in Northern Ghana, and the USAID-funded RING Project. He has also provided oversight for the Ghana Institutional Support Project funded by the African Development Bank and supported the Ghana Agricultural Sector Investment Programme with the International Fund for Agricultural Development.

As a consultant, he has led evaluations for projects funded by DFID, USAID, and DANIDA, and he has been instrumental in proposal development, including a USD $5.5 million project on youth-led entrepreneurship for the AfCFTA Young Entrepreneurs Federation.

Dr. Saeed’s experience extends to compliance with donor regulations, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMP). He excels at building partnerships with stakeholders, including government bodies, policy makers, academia, civil society organizations, and private companies, to ensure the success of development initiatives.
