Aegean Apparel Exporters Association

Aegean Exporters’ Association (EIB) was established in Izmir to increase Turkey's export revenues, expand the range of export products, and find new markets. It is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established by a national law. EIB aims to support manufacturer exporters operating in the Aegean Region. Under its General Secretary, EIB has 12 sectoral exporters' associations for textile, clothing, leather, mining and natural stones, metals, and agriculture sectors. EIB is working with a membership model, playing important roles in strengthening trade and export relations, and forming a network of its members; it also serves as an intermediary between the public authorities, academia, and industry. EIB has strong links to manufacturing companies because of the membership business model, they have a good infrastructure with its human resources for administrative, financial, and technical project management, and can conduct awareness-raising activities.  Members are informed about export procedures, regulations, national and international fairs and exhibitions. Regarding the EU Green Deal, EIB aims to develop projects to support the industry, especially within the framework of climate action, sustainability, and digitalization topics, organize training activities and innovation studies, and networking (B2B, trade mission programs, national fair participation) events to provide a qualified workforce and increase awareness. It has a good infrastructure with its human resources. EIB possesses a deep knowledge and understanding of industry, particularly the needs and challenges faced by companies, as a result of MSc degrees in chemical, environmental, and textile engineering, and international business managers working in its infrastructure. EIIB has nearly 8000 manufacturer exporter members active in Aegean Region of Turkey.
