INEGI

INEGI is a Research and Technology Organisation (RTO) based in Porto, Portugal. Recognized as of public utility, INEGI is an active agent in developing and consolidating a competitive model based on knowledge and high technological product and process innovation. At INEGI, we have several fields of expertise, including machine design, robotics, manufacturing, management, renewables, circular economy, environment, biomechanics, among many others. INEGI represents Portugal at the civil sector of the CAPTECH group (Capability Technology Areas for Materials and Structures; and CBRN & Human Factors) of the European Defense Agency. Since 2010, INEGI has participated in the design of research and development roadmaps that promote the development of technological solutions of interest in the area of materials, products and structures for defense in the European Union. More recently, INEGI also began to collaborate in the area of EDA components, including with biosensors. Internationally, NATO has also challenged INEGI to study new materials and manufacturing processes for the development of military equipment and structures. This work, carried out under the NMM Demo Study project, will allow the creation of technological roadmaps for the Defense sector.
