Technology-Agnostic Standardised Quantum Software Stack - CL4-2025-03-DIGITAL-EMERGING-02.
About
We invite academic and industrial partners to collaborate with us on the development of a technology-agnostic, highly-integrated full-stack quantum system architecture aimed at future quantum accelerators. Our project idea focuses on seamless integration of quantum hardware with classical systems under a unified architectural model.
Our core expertise lies in the system-level stack: Operating System (kernel-space) integration of a Quantum Abstraction Layer, user-space interaction, real-time orchestration, and well-designed low-latency/high-throughput interfacing. We design architectures of future modular quantum processing units envisioned as peripheral accelerators that are capable of offloading compilation, transpilation, and scheduling transparently and natively.
We are currently working on a preliminary architecture that demonstrates the feasibility of our approach. Early-stage results validate key system-level concepts and provide a strong foundation for further refinement and future hardware/software co-design approaches. To advance this work towards physical implementations and broader integration, we are actively seeking funding and collaborative support for future activities.
We are primarily seeking partners in three key areas: (1) quantum hardware development, (2) pulse-level generation and control, and (3) demonstration hardware platforms (e.g., FPGA/ASIC-based accelerator prototypes). These are example areas of interest, but we are equally open to collaborators with complementary expertise or novel ideas that align with our overarching vision. We welcome discussions on any contributions that can help advance integrated quantum-classical computing architectures.
We are open to joining an existing consortium or establishing a new consortium to advance this initiative together.
