Advancing Sustainable Biomaterials for a Greener Future
About
Transforming Healthcare and Environmental Safety through Advanced Technologies
Yildiz Technical University (YTU) is committed to advancing research at the intersection of nanotechnology, data science, and biomedical engineering to address pressing global health and environmental challenges. We are actively seeking European partners to co-develop innovative solutions within the framework of Horizon Europe.
Our strengths align with the following strategic areas:
Nanoplastics and Human Health:
We develop advanced nanomaterials and in vitro/in vivo models to assess the toxicological and biochemical impacts of micro- and nanoplastics. Our work supports the creation of predictive tools and safe-by-design materials for reduced environmental and health risks.
Cancer Research and Smart Therapies:
YTU focuses on early diagnosis and targeted cancer therapies using nano-biomaterials and 3D bioprinting. Our interdisciplinary teams integrate molecular biology, material science, and bioinformatics for translational cancer solutions.
Generative AI in Biomedical Research (GenAI4EU):
We apply AI and machine learning models to biomedical datasets for drug discovery, personalized medicine, and clinical decision support. YTU also develops custom multimodal datasets for training and validating GenAI systems under real-world conditions.
Digital Healthcare Applications:
Our teams co-create AI-powered healthcare tools with end-user input, ensuring real-life usability. Applications include diagnostics, rehabilitation technologies, and AI-assisted medical imaging workflows.
