Digital Continuity Platform for the European Circular Industry
CEO & Senior Expert in Industrial Digital Continuity at ConnectERPrise
Strasbourg, France
About
Context & Challenge: The European manufacturing industry faces a major "Digital Gap." While large OEMs use sophisticated PLM systems, sharing complex 3D technical data with multi-tier supply chains remains fragmented, leading to data loss, manual re-entry errors, and a lack of transparency.
With the upcoming Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), providing a Digital Product Passport (DPP) is becoming a mandatory requirement that current legacy systems cannot efficiently fulfill.
Objectives & Innovation: The KET 2026 project, led by ConnectERPrise, aims to industrialize an innovative data exchange ecosystem (current TRL 4-5) based on international standards (STEP AP242 / ISO 10303).
Our platform creates a seamless Digital Thread by consolidating engineering metadata (3D geometry, 2D Drawings, BOM, Specifications) with sustainability data (material chemistry, energy consumption, carbon footprint).
The core innovation lies in a decentralized, sovereign architecture—aligned with Gaia-X principles—that ensures granular IP protection while enabling automated compliance.
Expected Impacts:
-
Industrial Efficiency: A 40% reduction in data administrative overhead and a significant decrease in engineering errors through automated M2M (Machine-to-Machine) workflows.
-
Circular Economy: Enabling high-value circularity (Remanufacturing, Repair, Recycling) by providing end-of-life operators with accurate, standardized technical specifications via the DPP.
-
Sovereignty: Strengthening the European industrial ecosystem through a decentralized platform that prevents vendor lock-in and protects strategic industrial assets.
-
Environmental Compliance: Real-time calculation of the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) to support the EU’s Green Deal goals.
Consortium Strategy: We are actively seeking to build a balanced consortium of 3 to 5 complementary partners to achieve a full-scale industrial pilot:
-
Industrial OEMs & Suppliers: To provide real-world use cases (Aerospace, Automotive, Energy) and validate the platform in production environments.
-
Software Vendors (PLM/ERP): To co-develop standard-based connectors and ensure seamless integration within existing digital ecosystems.
-
Research Centers & Academia: To provide cutting-edge expertise in data science and cybersecurity.
-
Institutional Bodies: To ensure alignment with European regulations (ESPR, DPP) and support the standardization roadmap at the EU level.
