Additional Information

Business Project Description

Vacuum pumps rely on rotating machinery: bearings wear, vibration, and magnetic fields limit use; downtime drives cost. Gamma-5 replaces rotation with electromagnetic gas transport (MPD plasma physics): no moving parts. Patented, PCT pending. Market: medium-vacuum industrial pumping ($4.6B), sold via OEM integrators; 2 LOIs, ~38 units/yr. Model: €25k/unit plus recurring maintenance contracts. Two founders (ex-Thales Alenia Space; plasma PhD, Max Planck IPP). €1.3M pre-seed: TRL 4→7 with a customer pilot.

Organization description

PPS develops a patented platform for a nuclear fusion reactor. The patent covers different modules for generating, accelerating, and controlling magnetically confined plasma. From a single physical architecture - coaxial electrodes, plasma acceleration, and electromagnetic flow control - three product lines emerge, sequenced by maturity and complementary in risk profile: Ancillary Plasma Diagnostic & Power Systems (TRL8), Solid-State Plasma Vacuum Pumps (TRL4), and Nuclear Fusion Reactor (TRL2).
