Ethylene Decomposer

Ethylene Decomposer is designed to efficiently remove ethylene from CA storage rooms, ensuring long-term produce quality with minimal energy consumption and maintenance.

Van Amerongen ethylene decomposers are based on the proven technology of reverse-flow reactors for catalytic oxidation. These reactors allow only a small temperature difference between the inlet and outlet of the air stream purified from ethylene. The temperature difference is controlled by the timing of the reverse flow of air passing through the system. The heat required to oxidize ethylene is accumulated in the reactor, and heat exchange occurs via a high efficiency ceramic exchanger.
