About

USEPE (U‑space SEParation in Europe) was a European Union–funded research project carried out under the SESAR Joint Undertaking within the Horizon 2020 programme, aiming to develop and evaluate innovative concepts and technologies for the safe, efficient, and automated separation of drones operating in high‑density and complex urban airspace. The project focused on U‑space environments and investigated strategic and tactical separation management solutions, including automation and AI‑based approaches, to support the large‑scale integration of unmanned aerial vehicles into European airspace while maintaining high safety standards.

Within the USEPE project, I participated as a project management member and physical systems contributor. My role involved supporting project coordination activities, contributing to planning and monitoring of project tasks, and participating in the development, analysis, and validation of physical and technical system components relevant to U‑space separation concepts. This role combined technical responsibilities with project management activities to support the successful execution and delivery of project objectives.
