Swedish Olympic Committee

The Swedish Olympic Committee, SOC, is the supreme authority for the olympic movement within Sweden.

The Swedish Olympic Committee was established in 1913. The primary task is to prepare and lead Swedish participation in the Olympic Games with the aim of competitive Olympic teams.

Based on the fundamental values of the Olympic movement, the Committee shall work to:

• Create good role models for young people

• Inspire more people to develop through and within sport

• Create opportunities for athletes to develop regardless of background, gender and economic circumstances

• Spread the Olympic values of friendship, respect and the pursuit of excellence.
