About me
Samuel Pereira dos Santos obtained his Bachelor’s degree (2011) and Master’s degree (2013) in Chemical Engineering from the Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa (ISEL). His master's research focused on the application of amine solutions for CO2 capture and release in flue gases. From 2013 to 2017, Samuel Santos contributed to several national and international research projects, gaining expertise in sustainable technologies. In 2024, he obtained a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lisbon, Instituto Superior Técnico, through the CATSUS – Sustainable Catalysis Doctoral Program. His doctoral thesis, entitled Development of Nanocatalysts from Calcium Waste Materials in Biodiesel Production, explored innovative catalytic solutions for waste valorisation and renewable energy production. Samuel Santos currently serves as a Researcher at CoLAB C5Lab – Sustainable Construction Materials Association, where he focuses on developing technologies to decarbonize the cement industry. His research has resulted in the co-authorship of nine peer-reviewed publications.
