About
The WAVE project aims to introduce an innovative multimodal system for human-robot interaction i virtual environments, utilizing IMU-based wearable devices and haptic gloves. This approach enables natural and dynamic interaction, significantly enhancing the collaborative training experience in XR. By integrating ROS modules for real-time robot control and a flexible XR library, WAVE provides an immersive and interactive environment for training. This project advances beyond the current state of the art by addressing limitations in existing tracking and interaction technologies, promoting trust and safety between users and robots. The system’s ability to replicate real collaborative tasks and provide immediate feedback fosters a more realistic and engaging training experience. Additionally, WAVE supports the development of user skills and confidence in using collaborative robots, paving the way for widespread adoption in various industries. The project will undergo extensive validation to ensure its effectiveness and reliability in real-world scenarios.
