Laser Surface nanotexturing for BIOMEDICAL applications
About
The method we are proposing permits the nanotexturing virtually all kind of surfaces. It employs femtosecond laser to generate pattern with periods between 400 and 700 nm working with Infrared Lasers ( about 1030 nm ). Moreover secondary structures with periods well below 100 nm can be generated. A proportional decreasing in the periods is expected by switching to green or UV lasers. Our experiences were mainly performed on pure metals and metal alloy ( steels, stainless steels, titanium, nickel, molybdenum, gold, alluminum, copper, tungsten, ... ) dieletric and semiconductors ( ITO, silicon, sapphire ) and almost all kind of industrial coatings. Process rate in laboratory condition: 200 mm^2 / min ( theorical max rate 5000 mm^2/min ), no vacuum required.
