Gaseous and ultrafine particle emissions and air quality
About
This research area focuses on the study and characterization of gaseous and particles emissions from large- and small-scale stationary combustion sources. Especially, regarding ultrafine particles emissions, LEAP has expertise in measuring primary particles at stack gas conditions as well as the evaluation of the effects from the fractions of condensable origin with the use of dilution sampling. LEAP has conducted research also on air quality related issues through dedicated field campaigns to determine the human exposure concentrations of ultrafine particles and black carbon in urban areas and specified by commuter transport modes.
