Bridging veterinary and human health through translational research

Business Development Manager at Ghent University - provaxs

About

We provide a unique translational research ecosystem that bridges veterinary and human medicine. By combining advanced non-rodent animal models with access to naturally occurring diseases in veterinary patients, we enable highly relevant pre-clinical studies that better predict human clinical outcomes.

Our multidisciplinary expertise supports the development and validation of innovative vaccines, therapeutics, diagnostics, biomaterials, and medical technologies in physiologically relevant settings. This One Health approach allows researchers and industry partners to generate robust efficacy, safety, and biomarker data, optimize study design, and de-risk the transition toward first-in-human clinical trials.

With state-of-the-art facilities, clinical veterinary expertise, and strong collaborations across academia and industry, UGent PROVAXS and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine accelerate the translation of scientific discoveries into impactful health applications for both animals and humans.
