Breakout B - Ignite Talk & Workshop

Location:Room TuringTrack:Diversity and Research & Tech-transfer

Led by: FH-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr techn. Johannes Oberzaucher

In an ageing society, healthcare and care services are facing increasing complexity. This session tackles the opportunities and challenges of developing and implementing innovative digital solutions in health and care provision – particularly in light of demographic change.

Participants will explore the realities of interdisciplinary collaboration and the diverse needs that must be considered throughout the development process. Key topics include how to effectively support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in co-creation processes, strategies for evidence-based development, and sustainable business model design.

The session highlights practical tools such as the Living Lab approach, Human-Centred Design, and the Quadruple Helix model as frameworks for participatory research and innovation.

The interactive workshop section invites participants to analyse specific challenges from their own professional contexts. Depending on the group dynamic, selected real-world examples will also be introduced as case studies for discussion.

Workshop Objective: Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of how to apply user-driven, interdisciplinary innovation approaches in their own projects and organisations.
