CL5-D4: In-use validation of hybrid building solutions for thermal comfort and occupant outcomes

EluxEvo is seeking to join consortia in Cluster 5 Destination 4 calls, particularly HORIZON‑CL5‑2026‑09‑D4‑01, to contribute a human-centred approach to smart building energy performance.

Our work addresses a key challenge in building innovation: the gap between modelled performance and real-world outcomes under actual occupancy conditions.

We have previously secured over £270k in competitive UK innovation funding (including Innovate UK programmes Net Zero Living and Bridge AI) and have successfully delivered projects from early-stage research through pilot deployment, working collaboratively with universities, research institutions, and industry partners.

We provide:

• In-use validation of thermal comfort and energy performance

• Integration of behavioural and environmental data into building optimisation

• Adaptive control approaches that respond to occupant needs

We have experience collaborating with:

• UK universities (Sussex, Brighton, Manchester, Liverpool John Moores)

• Innovation institutions (Alan Turing Institute, National Physics Laboratory)

Our approach complements technologies such as heat pumps, building systems, and data platforms, by ensuring that performance improvements translate into measurable outcomes in practice.
