Biophysical treatments of the vegetal and animal kingdom.

Bio Top România is an agricultural cooperative based in Dobrogea, Romania, focused on applied innovation through biophysical treatments of water and biological material. Its research and validation priorities are poultry, aquaculture and vegetable production, followed by industrial crops such as sunflower, maize and soybean.

The cooperative develops and validates its proprietary Bio Top Growth Performance (BTGP) experimental framework, using comparative trials with untreated controls to assess growth, survival, feed conversion, yield and resource efficiency across these production systems.

Its scientific collaborations include USAMV Bucharest, Romania’s Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences (ASAS), and the Academy of Sciences of Albania. Through participation in the Copa-Cogeca Working Party on Research and Innovation, Bio Top România contributes to European agricultural policy discussions, with a focus on DG AGRI priorities, CAP strategic objectives and Horizon Europe opportunities.

Its immediate priority is to replicate trials in poultry, aquaculture and vegetable production across different ecosystems and farming conditions, strengthening the evidence base and assessing economic viability in preparation for future commercial deployment. Validation in industrial crops also remains a promising research opportunity.
