COMET TRAITEMENTS

Comet Traitements (CT) process shredder residues (SR), the by-product of the shredding of metallic wastes from Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment & End of Life Vehicles (ELVs).

CT has currently developed & industrialised no fewer than 8 innovative post-shredder separation and recycling processes including AI based sensor sorting for the recovery of non-ferrous metals, plastics, minerals, iron oxides, CRM, etc. The aim is to supply industry with secondary raw materials : aluminium, copper, regrind plastics for compounding or injection (PP/PEHD, Filled PP, ABS, PS), technical sand, REE magnets, Si, Ag etc. 

Specific waste streams are EoL PV pannels & E-scooters, E-Bikes. Targeted CRMs & precious metals: Al, Cu, REE magnets, Si, Ag.

Mother company possesses the biggest shredder located in EU 27 and operates 1.250.000 tons of waste per year.

CT is very active in funded R&D projects at regional and European level .
