Grounded Solutions: Entrepreneurship & Impact Investment in the Global South
Entrepreneurship in the Global South is not about replicating models, but about building solutions rooted in local realities, knowledge systems, and lived experience. Yet capital and support structures often remain shaped by external perspectives.
This roundtable brings together ecosystem actors to explore how more authentic approaches can emerge, grounded in context, informed by indigenous knowledge, and strengthened through more balanced North–South collaboration.
Drawing on experience from global programs and institutions, the discussion focuses on how capital, partnerships, and support mechanisms can better align with local needs, and how to move from imposed models to co-created solutions that are both relevant and resilient.
The aim is not only to share perspectives, but to challenge assumptions and explore how entrepreneurship and investment can become more connected to the places and communities they seek to serve.
