About me

Gabriele Tatzberger has many years of experience in international networking and has been passionately supporting company founders, startups and the Vienna startup scene as Director Startup Services at the Vienna Business Agency for 15 years. The house offers funding, infrastructure and comprehensive services with networks, workshops and coaching for Viennese and international company founders. With the women's service, the business agency has had a special offer for women who want to seize the opportunities of self-employment for over 20 years. The services are also offered in 17 languages.

Ms. Tatzberger is the initiator and mastermind of the international startup festival ViennaUP.com, which took place digitally for the first time in 2021 and in Vienna in 2022 with 10,000 participants. Since 2023, there has been a special focus on support for founders, in order to deal with the ecological and social impact of the business model as early as the founding process. She completed her education at the Technical University of Vienna with spatial planning and regional policy and did her doctorate part-time at the Technical University of Delft/Netherlands. From 2000 to 2007 she was on the board of directors of the Austrian Institute for Spatial Planning and from 2010 to 2022 she was managing director of Vienna Region Wirtschaft.Raum.Entwicklung GmbH and Vienna Region Marketing GmbH. She has been a member of the supervisory board of the high-tech incubator INITS since 2018.
