About me
That’s why I’m #teambilla and #teamrewe
For me, people play a central role in the company — both our customers and our employees. The best part of my job is working with so many different and seasoned people, true specialists. It is our leadership responsibility to nurture people according to their individual potential, support them, and give them space for their own personal development—in line with the life situation and stage they are currently in. This is also reflected very concretely in our Work & Family Program as well as our diversity management activities. I am also convinced that trust and personal responsibility are the foundation for greater freedom to shape one’s work and ultimately lead to new, valuable ideas and a willingness to perform, from which we all benefit.
A few words about myself
I was born in Carinthia and have been with BILLA for 28 years. As a trained tourism professional, I began my career at BILLA as a trainee and subsequently held various leadership positions in sales, purchasing, and operations. This allowed me to get to know the company in all its facets. In 2003, I was appointed director of the Feinkost profit center, and starting in 2009, I served as one of two sales directors overseeing the entire sales division, which included over 18,000 employees and just over 1,000 locations in Austria
In 2016, I followed the call to the Executive Board; from January 2018 to June 2020, I served as the Board Spokesperson in Austria and co-led BILLA alongside my fellow board member. I was responsible for the Sales division — which encompasses the entire store network, including expansion — as well as Human Resources Management and building and furnishing technology.
Following the reorganization of the REWE Group Austria, during which BILLA and MERKUR were merged, I took over the Real Estate division as a member of the Executive Board in July 2020. My area of responsibility lies in managing the entire real estate value chain—from expansion and real estate development, through planning, construction, and fit-out, to portfolio and facility management. My goal is to operate integrated real estate management efficiently and without friction. In addition, I am responsible for central technical procurement, corporate security, and our energy procurement company, EHA Austria.
Since March 2023, I have also been responsible for the sustainability division.
