About me
Ovidiu Bujorean is a venture strategist and capital mobilizer working at the intersection of entrepreneurship, impact investing, and global market development. As CEO of OviBees Ventures, he advises founders and investors on scaling across frontier and emerging markets — with a focus on how philanthropic, family office, and institutional capital moves from intent to real deployment.
He is the host of the RootsToFoods Capital Series, a practitioner-led podcast series mapping the full capital value chain across Africa, Eastern Europe, India, and Southeast Asia — featuring leading voices from DFIs, blended finance platforms, family offices, and impact funds. With roots across Eastern Europe and active networks from Vienna to Nairobi, he brings a rare insider perspective to capital flows in markets where trust and relationships precede term sheets.
Earlier, he drove impact investment strategy at AV Ventures across Ghana, Kenya, Burkina Faso, and Central Asia, and co-designed the GIST Initiative — now the U.S. State Department's flagship global innovation program active in 120+ countries. He began his career in VC with the founder of Motorola Ventures.
Educated at Harvard (MPA) and MIT (MBA), fluent in English, French, and Romanian, Ovidiu connects the dots between capital, ecosystems, and opportunity — from Vienna to the world's most dynamic emerging markets.
