About me
2016 Stephanie co-founded an organization called ‘Chancen:reich’, the first Austrian career fair for refugees in Vienna and one of the biggest ones in Europe. The OECD and UNHCR used ‘chancen:reich’ as a best practice example in their 2018 multi-stakeholder action plan for employers, refugees, governments and civil society report.
2017 she got elected as one of the youngest MPs and citizens into the Austrian parliament. She was spokesperson for equality, digitalisation, education and youth at 'Jetzt'.
Leaving politics gave her the space to go offline and turn 2020 into a year of learning and listening to herself. Re-entering the public surface in 2021, she proceeded consulting social businesses and policy makers and made time for volunteer work.
In September 2022 she joined Ashoka, the largest global network of social entrepreneurs. Drawing on her experience as an entrepreneur, activist, and politician, she empowers young people to self-identify as changemakers and provides them with a voice and platform. She first served as Program Director in Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein, and has since stepped into the role of Country Director to further advance Ashoka’s vision of “Everyone a Changemaker.
She’s been nominated as a Young Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum.
