My organisation

We need more nature at the end of the decade, not less! ‘Nature positive’ is a global goal defined as ‘halt and reverse nature loss by 2030 on a 2020 baseline, and achieve full recovery by 2050’. Put simply, it means ensuring more nature in the world in 2030 than in 2020 and continued recovery after that. The Nature Positive Initiative (NPI) is a coalition of conservation organizations, standard-setting organizations, institutes, and business and finance coalitions which have come together to drive alignment around use of the term ‘nature positive’ and support broader, longer-term efforts to deliver nature-positive outcomes. Core work includes preserving the integrity of ‘nature positive’ as a measurable 2030 global goal for nature for business, government, and other stakeholders, and providing the tools and guidance necessary to allow all to contribute. The initiative also advocates for the full implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework by governments and other stakeholders. The NPI coordinates a diverse Nature Positive Forum, which is open for all relevant institutions and organizations to join and support and implement the Nature Positive global goal for nature.
