About

Erwin played a pivotal role in establishing impact investing in Germany. After years in traditional investments and founding his own startup incubator, he spearheaded the creation of BONVENTURE in 2002, the first impact investment fund in German-speaking countries. Since then, Erwin has been instrumental in driving the sector's growth. With a business administration degree and a statistics doctorate, he is a leading figure in developing financing models for startups and data-driven impact analyses. Erwin co-authored the initial standard for impact reporting and is frequently sought after for insights on impact analysis by both specialist and consumer media. (97 words)

My organisation

BonVenture

BonVenture is the first investment company in the German-speaking region that focuses on the social impact of companies. Since 2003, we have offered investors the opportunity to allocate social venture capital to social enterprises through our funds. As partner of social entrepreneurs, we strengthen them with capital, know-how and contacts and provide guidance in setting up and growing their organization. This is how we promote the development and establishment of social innovations at scale. Since 2014, we are the first German fund manager to be officially EuSEF-registered (EU REGULATION FOR SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP).
