GATE Space is an Austrian space technology company specializing in chemical propulsion systems for spacecraft. Founded as a spin-off from the Technical University of Vienna, the company develops reliable and efficient propulsion technologies for satellites, capsules, and orbital transfer vehicles (OTVs).

Its propulsion systems enable mission-critical orbit and attitude control throughout the spacecraft’s operational lifetime. Supported by an interdisciplinary team of 29 engineers with expertise in propulsion engineering, mechanical design, avionics, and system testing, GATE Space delivers propulsion solutions tailored to the needs of modern spacecraft platforms.

As a specialized propulsion subsystem supplier and engineering partner, GATE Space supports spacecraft developers and operators across the full propulsion lifecycle, from system design and component sourcing to manufacturing, qualification, and operational support.

Depending on mission requirements, the company provides either complete propulsion subsystems or individual propulsion components. Customers also benefit from engineering support during system design and integration, including guidance on performance trade-offs, system interfaces, and mission-specific propulsion requirements.
