Meteor Autonomous ISR Drone Swarm

Skymeteors' Meteor platform is an autonomous micro multi-rotor drone designed for sub-canopy (forest) and indoor reconnaissance — environments that satellite and high-altitude UAV systems cannot reach.

Single-drone capabilities: Each Meteor features LiDAR-based SLAM for GPS-denied navigation and obstacle avoidance, NVIDIA Jetson onboard AI inference for real-time thermal and RGB detection, and a low-SWaP mechatronic design optimized for tight indoor and forest operations. Validated today in real forest and indoor environments.

Swarm capabilities: Up to 25 Meteor units can be coordinated by a single operator through our THEOS mission planner. The operator draws the area of interest; THEOS partitions individual routes per drone and synchronizes arrival.

Communications doctrine: EMCON-managed mesh comms (Selective Burst Mesh) — drones transmit only position beacons and detection events, designed for low-probability-of-intercept and low-probability-of-detection operation. If the operator link is lost or jammed, each drone executes its mission autonomously and returns to base.

Operator output: Real-time tablet dashboard with geo-tagged detections, point cloud previews, and mission status. Data formats designed for integration into broader C5ISR architectures.

Dual-use applications: Defense special forces reconnaissance, civil search and rescue, wildfire response, infrastructure inspection. Active engagement with partners across four NATO and allied geographies.
