About

Control Products, Inc.’s new rugged RTD sensor is engineered for precise temperature monitoring in the most demanding aerospace, defense, and industrial environments. Designed and manufactured in the USA, the sensor combines high-accuracy thermal measurement with a compact, harsh-duty construction capable of withstanding severe vibration, thermal cycling, moisture, contaminants, and extreme operating conditions.

Built using a platinum thin-film sensing element integrated into a stainless-steel probe assembly, CPI’s RTD provides fast and reliable temperature feedback for mission-critical systems where thermal performance and safety are essential. The design is ideal for aircraft engine bays, avionics cooling systems, electric motor thermal management, battery systems, military vehicles, and other high-reliability applications.

The sensor is designed for operating temperatures from -40°C to +150°C and delivers exceptional accuracy and repeatability across the full temperature range. Its ruggedized construction helps maintain long-term stability in applications exposed to shock, vibration, pressure washing, fluids, and harsh environmental conditions.

Unlike many commercial-grade sensors, CPI’s RTD platform is specifically developed for harsh-environment integration and can be customized to fit unique customer packaging, connector, mounting, and system requirements. The sensor can also be integrated alongside CPI’s proven thermal switch technology, providing both continuous temperature monitoring and independent over-temperature protection in a single package.

With nearly 80 years of experience manufacturing thermal protection solutions for military and commercial platforms, CPI continues to expand its sensing technology to meet the evolving demands of modern aerospace and defense systems.
