Porous Energy Technologies is a deep-tech spin-off from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) developing next-generation supercapacitors for applications where high power, fast response and low weight are critical. Our technology combines advanced materials with an additive 3D-printing platform to manufacture high-performance, lightweight electrodes through a scalable and resource-efficient approach.

Our main focus is on UAVs, aerospace, defence and other demanding electronic and electric mobility applications. Our supercapacitors are designed to complement batteries in hybrid battery–supercapacitor architectures, providing rapid power during peak-demand events while reducing battery stress and potentially extending system lifetime.

The company is built on research developed at UAM and is supported by an international patent portfolio protecting key aspects of the technology. Porous combines expertise in advanced materials, electrochemistry, engineering and technology development, with the goal of bringing innovative energy-storage solutions from the laboratory to real-world industrial applications and contributing to European technological and energy independence.
