Konvexia Labs is a newly founded Zagreb-based company started by researchers from the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (UNIZG-FER). We help investors, operators and public bodies make better decisions about energy systems, from sizing a new investment to operating it optimally every day.
We focus on systems with energy storage and high shares of renewables: green hydrogen production, hydrogen refuelling stations, PV and battery storage, EV charging, and industrial energy systems. Our team has years of experience in mathematical optimisation, model predictive control and techno-economic modelling. This includes developing decision support tools for power-to-gas and hydrogen-based energy hubs that were piloted in several Central European regions.
What we offer
Consulting: optimal sizing and techno-economic analysis of new and planned energy systems, with clear investment indicators such as NPV, IRR, payback period and levelised cost of hydrogen.
Planning software: tools for investment optimisation and energy system analysis.
Optimal control: hardware and software controllers for optimal real-time operation of energy plants, including installation, advisory support, maintenance, equipment rental and the supporting IT.
Training: workshops and courses on optimisation in the energy sector and beyond.
In the longer term, we plan to run our own facility for energy production, storage and hydrogen production as a demonstration site for our solutions.
What we're looking for
We'd like to connect with hydrogen refuelling station developers, fleet operators, energy consultancies, municipalities and industrial partners interested in piloting our tools, developing projects together, or partnering on funding applications.
We are developing a browser-based tool that optimises the size, operation and financial performance of hydrogen refuelling stations with on-site production.
