Heavy duty truck retrofit FCEV 700bars
Project manager at Hyliko
France
About
Hyliko develops complete hydrogen mobility solutions based on the conversion of diesel heavy-duty trucks into fuel-cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). The company has already brought two generations of 350-bar FCEV retrofit trucks to the European market, in 2024 and 2026, with vehicles operated intensively by customers.
In 2027, Hyliko will develop and introduce a new-generation 700-bar FCEV architecture for heavy-duty retrofit trucks, and particularly 4x2 tractor units. The objective is to significantly increase onboard hydrogen storage and driving range while reducing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and maintaining low vehicle weight, thereby preserving a payload equivalent to that of diesel models.
