Cluster FOOD+i

FOOD+i is a private non-profit food cluster based in Spain, representing a dynamic ecosystem of more than 115 members, including agri-food companies, technology centres, universities, and regional authorities. Rooted in the Ebro Valley, one of Europe’s most important agri-food corridors, FOOD+i aims to accelerate the transition of the food system by promoting innovation, collaboration, and competitiveness.
The cluster works as a trusted intermediary between industry and knowledge providers, fostering cross-sectoral cooperation to address common challenges and unlock new opportunities. Its strategic priorities include advancing the circular bioeconomy, promoting sustainable food production, supporting SMEs in their innovation journeys, and reinforcing regional value chains.
With more than 10 years of experience in EU-funded projects, FOOD+i plays a strategic role in connecting stakeholders across the value chain and facilitating knowledge transfer. In BIOECONOMY GIANTS, FOOD+i leads project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and long-term sustainability strategies, ensuring the project outcomes respond to real market needs and are successfully scaled and replicated across regions.
